PROTECT YOUR COLOUR
As a blondie, I’m constantly finding myself in a never ending battle to keep my hair in good condition. I LOVE the way my hair looks when it’s blonde, but years of dying is definitely starting to take its toll. Ever since I started dying my hair I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect products to keep my coloured locks looking and feeling their best. There are so many amazing colour targeting products out there so I thought I’d tell you about some of my favourites that I’ve discovered over the years.
Ever since I started colouring my hair Pureology shampoo and conditioners have been a constant in my haircare routine. Pureology products are all designed specifically to protect, restore and nourish colour-treated hair. Not only that, but their 100% vegan formulas are made with sustainably sourced natural plant extracts and absolutely no ‘nasties’ which makes this stuff even better. The Pureology ‘Strength Cure’ shampoo which is great if your hair is looking and feeling a bit worse for wear. Being a blondie, I often notice how dry and brittle my hair feels, so I like to use something like the Strength Cure to bring it back to life and give it some va va voom. If that wasn’t enough to tempt you, the Strength Cure collection formulas are scented with peach, vanilla, lavender and honey…yum.
Alongside the Strength Cure range, I also love using the shampoo and conditioner from the Pureology Fullfyl collection. As the name suggests, the Fullfyl products are designed to make your hair look and feel thicker and fuller. As well as working to protect and restore colour-treated hair, the plant protein in the Fullfyl range wraps around each strand of hair to densify and strengthen. Often my hair can feel weak and look limp, so I like to mix things up every now and again by using the Fullfyl shampoo and conditioner to give it a healthy boost. Much like the Strength Cure collection, these babies smell equally as delicious thanks to the blend of tropical fruit, white floral and vanilla. Whenever anyone asks me what products they should use to protect and nourish their coloured hair I always point them in the direction of Pureology. Defo give this stuff a go if your coloured hair is feeling (and looking) a little lack lustre.
I’ve gone through tons of bottles of Sachajuan products in the past and since dying my hair I’ve fallen in love Sachajuan Colour Protect shampoo and conditioner. What’s great about this range is that the formula is super gentle on the hair so it’s perfect for preventing colour fade. We all know that coloured hair is especially prone to split ends and this range is so amazing because it actually does a fab job at minimising split ends and smoothing any damage. I always notice how healthy my hair feels after I’ve used the Sachajuan Colour Protect shampoo and conditioner. I love Sachajuan so make sure you check out their stuff if you haven’t already.
Lastly I just have to take a minute to mention the Color Full range by Rahua. Like all the other products I’ve mentioned, the Color Full shampoo and conditioner are colour preserving formulas which do a great job at maintaining the pigmentation of coloured and highlighted hair. The products themselves work hard to push the dye deep into the hair shaft which helps to keep your colour looking super vibrant. You guys know I’m all about the leave in treatments and for the past few months I’ve been obsessed with the Rahua Color Full hair mask. As well as helping to preserve my colour by encapsulating the pigment, the hair mask also makes my hair feel incredibly soft and look noticeably more radiant! With extracts of hibiscus, gardenia oil and lavender essence, this mask smells absolutely incredible! I love using this trio and I can’t recommend Rahua enough!
Let me know if you’ve given any of these products a try on your colour-treated hair. I’d love to know what you thought of them! I think I’d have to say that the Pureology Strength Cure shampoo and conditioner are my favourite colour-targeting hair products; they’re amazing at improving the overall condition of my hair as well as making it look heaps healthier and more radiant. Let me know which ones are your faves!
