LFW Day Three 2016.

I’ll be honest, to begin with I had my reservations about day three of London Fashion Week. Day Two really had been so much fun, and I woke on Sunday with a Champagne headache and a lot of work ahead. Two shows, a shoot and one paid project to work on. Quite the contrast to the previous 24 hours – surely it couldn’t be as good? But yet again I was surprised as it still ended up being so chilled, everything ran according to plan for the most part, and I had another very enjoyable day of shows.
Seeing as Topshop had invited me to the show this season, I thought it appropriate to wear a few pieces from the brand – but let’s face it, it’s not a shock to see me head to toe in Topshop is it?! I opted for a slouchy white polka dot shirt, partially tucked in to my Topshop tailored trousers, with a black scarf around my neck to add a little extra interest to the outfit. I picked out a long tailored grey coat to throw on between shows and finished everything off with black pointed heels and my beloved Chanel bag.

The day started off with Anya Hindmarch in the morning. The makeup was minimal with pops of colour on the eyes to match the clothing and the hair, by L’Oreal Pro, was parted in the middle and left loose in a relaxed bedhead style. The concept of the show was pixel themed and was just very cute, with lots of pieces I would actually like to own amongst the collection.
Topshop Unique followed shortly after, held in the Tate Britain, I took my seat early enough to sit and take everything in. It was my first time seeing Unique in the flesh, and I felt so honoured to have been invited to my favourite high street brands show. The collection felt far less seventies than previous seasons (thumbs up from me because that trend and I just don’t gel) and the 80’s hair, again by L’Oreal Professional, was so beautifully done. I’m really hoping we see a revival of the extreme side part again soon because that has to be my favourite hair trend of all time – should I even be admitting this? I digress…
The colour palette ranged from warm autumnal colours to monochrome pieces and prints – everything I love in a nutshell. There was an embellished black skirt I just have to own, so watch this space! I genuinely think this has been my favourite season since they went Sports Luxe heavy in 2014 and I felt so lucky to have seen it in the flesh!
Finally I made my way to Temperley, which you can read more about here as I was working back stage with Maybelline to bring you a full list of products used (as well as a video on Saturday – keep your eyes peeled)!
Temperley ran over by quite a while, so I made my way back to my hotel room to crash, eat burgers and chat with my hotel next door neighbour Lydia, before writing up my show notes and catching some well earned Zzzz’s!
