BEAUTY FAVOURITES | AUTUMN LOVES
I can’t believe we’re almost half way through November guys! Kinda scary right? It’s been a while since I filmed a favourites video and since I’ve found myself falling in love with so many exciting products (and things) this month, I thought I’d sit down and tell you a bit more about them. What have you been loving lately? Leave me a comment and tell me down below! P.s. Stay tuned to the end of the post to watch the full video!
You guys know I’m OBSESSED with pretty much every Fresh product in existence so it was a no brainer that I was going to end up falling in love with the Fresh ‘Instant Glow’ Luminizer. What’s great about this stuff is that you can use it a ton of different ways. On days when I cba to wear any make up I love wearing a super thin layer of the product on it’s own, but my favourite way to wear this luminizer is over the top of my foundation. All I do is squeeze a tiny piece of product into my hand and kinda warm it up between my finger tips before lightly patting it straight onto my skin. This luminizer is amazing at giving your skin a natural looking all-over radiance. LOVE!
How stunning is this rose blush by Milani? I have mine in the shade ‘Romantic Rose’ which works perfectly with my skin tone. A light dusting of this blush on the apples of my cheeks gives me a really gorgeous ‘English Rose’ pop of colour. There’s something really satisfying about swirling my brush into this stunner.
As soon as I saw this book I knew I HAD to have it, I think it was a mix of the pop of vibrant yellow on the cover and the fact that I’m obsessed with scandi style that got me all heart eyed. This book is great because it’s really informative and INSANELY inspiring. It gives you tips on how to create a minimalist wardrobe (something I seriously need to do!), mix and match patterns and create a scandi-style that works just right for you. This is one of those coffee table books that I can’t stop staring at. If you know someone who’s scandi-obsessed this would make a great Christmas gift!
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried this new fragrance by Glossier. For some reason I kinda thought that this perfume would smell super sweet and sickly but it’s actually a really grown up scent and one that I’ve been spritzing non stop ever since I got it! It reminds me of Escentric Molecules (the perfume that smells different on everyone) because it doesn’t really have a scent that I can pin point, it just smells like ‘me’ but better (hence why it’s called ‘You’). It’s kinda creamy, musky and warm. Don’t be fooled by the baby pink bottle, this stuff is super sophisticated!
If you’re a fan of my book posts you’ll know that I’m a big fan of Rupi Kuar. Like her book ‘Milk & Honey’, ‘The Sun & Her Flowers’ is a collection of beautiful short poems and quotes. I’ve been picking this up every now and then and I absolutely love it. There’s something about the way that Rupi writes that makes me feel so empowered and alive. If you’re a poetry fan you’re going to relish this one!
As you can probably tell from the almost-empty bottle, I’ve been really enjoying using the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. I have super sensitive, dry skin and this serum does a great job at locking in a layer of moisture that lasts all day. It’s also amazing at reducing the appearance of dark spots and giving your skin a gorgeous, dewy glow. Another product that I’ve *almost* used up is the Schmidt’s ‘Charcoal & Magnesium Natural Deodorant’. I feel like Schmidts are one of the only natural deodorant brands that I’ve tried that actually works. Don’t be alarmed by the dark product inside the bottle, it doesn’t look that colour when you apply it to your underarms! This stuff smells super clean and I can always rely on a dab or two of this to keep me feeling funky fresh.
For haircare I’ve been enjoying using a teeny weeny scoop of the Ouai Matte Pomade to give my tresses some serious VA VA VOOM baby. I only use the smallest amount of product but it gives my hair a sexy ‘bed head’ look and helps to make my style last all day. Unlike some hair styling stuff, this Ouai Matte Pomade doesn’t leave my hair looking greasy or feeling heavy, it’s super lightweight and gives me a natural-looking ‘oomph’. Great for those of you with shorter hair like mine.
The Charlotte Tilbury ‘Instant Look in 5’ Palette is a product in my makeup drawer that I’ve found myself falling in love with over the past few weeks. You know I’m all about quick, easy, no-stress makeup so this palette is great because it really does have *pretty much* everything you need in one place. I have mine in the shade ‘Beauty Glow’ and I just adore that highlight mixed with that bronze. I feel like this is great for everyday but also makes a night time look feel super special.
It’s no secret that I’m a little bit of a fangirl when it comes to the Surratt Lipsliques and lately I’ve been reaching for one in the shade ‘Ladybug’ A LOT. What I love about the Lipsliques is that they’re super juicy and feel so comfortable on the lips. These have a sheer to medium finish so they’re right up my street. ‘Ladybug’ is a beautiful orange-toned red that I wore pretty much everyday that we were in Cambodia. Such a beautiful colour!
This month I was actually lucky enough to be a guest editor in one of my all time favourite magazines ‘Darling’! I wrote a little piece all about my top 10 tips to combat stress. Darling is a magazine all about strong, inspiring women, so I’m so thrilled to be a part of this issue. Pick up a copy here!
If you’re looking for a super easy, stress-free highlighter then the Lancome ‘Click & Glow’ Liquid Highlighter is a product that you NEED to try! This highlight looks absolutely beautiful on the skin because it gives a gorgeous, natural-looking finish. I have mine in the shade ‘Lumieres D’or’ which is kinda like an apricot shade. This stuff is stunn-ING!
I’ve been fangirling over Clé De Peau beauty products for as LONG as I can remember and when we were on the way back from Cambodia I finally caved and picked up a few pieces from the airport. One of the stand out products for me is this stick concealer. It’s definitely one of the more pricey pieces in my makeup wardrobe, but I kinda feel like it’s totally worth it. Unlike a lot of stick concealers, this stuff feels incredibly creamy and is super easy to blend. It’s great for under the eyes and also does a fab job at concealing any blemishes. This really met all my expectations and I’m excited to try more stuff from Clé De Peau.
I’m sure most of you have guessed by now that I couldn’t make a favourites without mentioning the amazing Reggie X Wild At Heart Foundation sweater. As a lot of you know I recently teamed up with this very special charity to create a sweater with my BEAUTIFUL SON printed on the front! The sweater is £50 and every single penny of the profits go straight towards the charity and their goals. If you want to read more about it make sure you go and check out the post that I put together all about this collab. Check it out here! BIG THANK YOU to every single one of you who has purchased yourself or a loved one a sweater so far. It means the absolute world to me, the Wild at Heart team and of course all the doggies in the world who need our help and love. Speaking of Reggie, how adorable does he look in my bright red scarf? I’ve been completely obsessed with this scarf ever since I got it! This one if quite pricey but I found a dupe that is pretty much identical > here <. Loving this pop of colour lately! P.s. I’m literally lolling at Aslan’s crocs and socks combo. What a statement!
